Doctrine:
It is not required that a student or their family be of the Lutheran faith to be able to attend First Lutheran School. Children and families of all denominations are welcome at First Lutheran School. First Lutheran School’s educational foundation is Christ centered and Bible based. First Lutheran School adheres to and will explain to all students the Lutheran doctrine as outlined in the Small Catechism. Dr. Martin Luther, founder of the Lutheran Church, based the Small Catechism on his study of the Bible and organized the teachings of Scripture into Six Chief Parts. These six chief parts of the Christian doctrine are as follows: The Ten Commandments, The Apostle's Creed, The Lord's Prayer, The Sacrament of Holy Baptism, The Office of the Keys and Confession, and The Sacrament of Holy Communion. |
