“Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.”
Isaiah 9:6
Dear Parents,
It seems that the month of November has become the new month of December as everyone tries to get a jump on the Christmas season. Thanksgiving is already upon us – and the calendar is packed with so many activities. We only have 26 days of school left before Christmas vacation begins!
The main purpose of this note is to remind you of our school’s annual Christmas project. Again this year we are trying to brighten the holidays of some of our area’s foster children with Christmas gifts. We are doing this in lieu of a student gift exchange in our classroom.
We have been given the name of 1 child this year. His biographical information is as follows:
Brydon, Age 7 Wish List
Boys Size 7-8 shirt bike
Size 7-8 pants Incredible Hulk
Super Heroes stuff
As you can see, this will be a financial challenge for our class; we will try to get as much as we can. But I think we can do it, if everyone pitches in and helps. A suggested amount would $5-$10, but any amount is useful and very much appreciated.
I must have these gifts ready to be picked up on December 12th, so I need to have the money turned in to me no later than Friday, December 5th. If any parent wishes to help with the shopping, PLEASE contact me at school or at home. If you have any questions, give me a call.
I also want to take this opportunity to make you aware of several upcoming events:
Dec. 5: Money due for our DHS foster child
Dec. 18: School Christmas Concert, 6:30 PM (Bands and Choirs are participating, so everyone needs to take part)
Dec. 19: Classroom Christmas Party – 12:30 PM (We have early dismissal at 1:30 PM this year!)
In Christ,
Kathy Nieting |
